Workshop for Educators
Nature-Based Education Workshop
We craft and curate workshops to convene small groups of educators for in-depth, collaborative conversation as we all move forward in our work to reimagine education.
Join Environmentalist Grace Kenney in a Nature-Based Education Workshop to explore the curriculum that she has developed to help children become knowledgeable and empathetic stewards of the earth. Take a walk through her day as she shares how she plans for student-led nature experiences, builds skills and understanding about science, and creates interdisciplinary learning through gardening, composting, and caring for the earth. The workshop will be a small, intimate 3-hour forum. Bring your questions about implementing aspects of this curriculum into your own teaching environment. (Wear appropriate outdoor gear.)
Participants will learn how to start and expand their initiatives. What makes a great idea, and how does one transform ideas into action? This session includes a round-table discussion about the ideas of the workshop participants. The workshop participants are an impressive, diverse group who are committed to advancing curiosity-based learning. They are encouraged to network and collaborate.
